Christmas Gift Guide: For Her

These gift guide posts seem to be the new trend lately and I can't help but to want to write one!  I mean, Christmas is right around the corner and I'm still trying to figure out what to get all the lovely ladies in my life this year... especially my mom and my sister.

One of my favorite parts about Christmas is the giving of gifts.  I love getting people gifts that are really personal... one's that I've put a lot of thought into and says "this is a gift put together for me and no one else."  I mean, don't get me wrong, we all love those Bath & Body Works gift packs that have the candle, the body wash, the hand sanitizer, and the lotion.. oh god, the lotion!  I probably can't count how many lotions from B&BW I've collected over the years that were given to me as a gift.  Sure, they're nice to have and yeah I suppose certain scents can be personal to someone - but they're just OVERDONE.  I always feel "unspecial" when I get a gift pack from there.  Anyways, continuing on with this post (by the way, you won't be seeing any B&BW gift packs as a suggestion here... in case you didn't get that hint) let's get started!

  1. Signma's Essential Makeup Brush Kit | $155:  Do you have a makeup lover in your life that you need to buy for this year?  Well, if so, then I'm sure she's well aware at just how expensive makeup brushes can be.  It seriously adds up!  I found this Signma brush kit at a great value!  You basically get every makeup brush imaginable AND a super cute container that holds them all whether you want it to sit on your vanity or you need to throw it in your bag when traveling.  They come in all different colors, but my personal favorite is "Make Me Cool."
  2. Art Print | $17.99:  There's something so personal about a piece of art.  Whether you make it yourself or purchase an art print like this one for someone.  I especially love the print's by Kavan & Co on Society6.  Each one is not only poppy with lots of fun textures and colors, but they have little sayings of inspiration.  It's creative, it's fun, it's personal, it's affordable... you can't really go wrong with that!
  3. Tights or Socks | $9.95:  They're totally in there year!  Like more in than they've ever been.  Now a days you can find so many cute prints and I think a lot of girls have fun mix and matching them with knee and thigh high socks!  H&M has a really great selection of both and I was surprised to see how cheap they were!
  4. Glovettes | $13.99:  'Tis the season to keep cozy in cold weather!  Let's face it, us girls like to be cutesy and sometimes gloves just don't cut it.  These knitted red glovettes from ModCloth are adorable and they keep your fingers free so you can fiddle with your phone, wallet, or even drive with them all.
  5. Beaded Rose Necklace | $19.99:  Got a girl who loves nothing more than to make a statement with her jewelry in your life that you need to buy for this year?  Well then this piece bold, yet elegant, rose bead necklace is quite possibly perfect for her!  I could see her rocking this out on Christmas day with that super sleek holiday outfit she put together.
  6. Tom's Bootie Wedge | $89:  Have you seen these yet?  I discovered them earlier this season and I've been eying them ever since!  I personally love the plain black pair (I love having a go-to shoe)... but this grey pair with this tribal looking pattern at the top is really adorable and unique.  I have a feeling this might sell out fast... so if you know someone who is into wedges, being comfy, and patterns, then I suggest you head on over and buy this pair!
  7. Urban Decay's Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette | $52:  Oh yeah, this is all the rage right now and I can see why!  Another great makeup lover gift to give.  I have a feeling that this just may be the best Naked palette that Urban Decay has ever come out with!
  8. Fossil Watch | $135:  Boyfriend watches are really in this year.  I've never been a big watch wearer because I've honestly just never been into it, but I'm digging the boyfriend watch trend... and I know a few people who really love watches.  I found this one from Fossil and fell in love with it.  It's really unique with it's navy face... and it's also a pretty good price compared to some watches you find.
  9. Unicorn Ring Holder | $9:  Thumb rings, pinky rings, mid rings, even engagement rings - the more rings, the better... at least that's what I hear.  Where does a gal store all those rings while she sleeps at night or takes a shower?  Well, why not on the horn of this adorable little unicorn ring holder - found at Urban Outfitters!
  10. Doggie Cookie Jar | $39:  Do you know someone that just happens to be the most amazing baker ever?  Well, when I think of bakers, I think of cookies, and when I think of cookies, I think of a cookie jar!  This previous Plum & Bow Floral Dog Cookie Jar from Urban Outfitters is sooo cute and when it's time to pack away that Christmas cookie jar, it would be hard to feel glum when replacing it with this one.
  11. Wildflower Donut iPhone Case | $35:  Have you heard of Wildflower iPhone cases before?  Yeah, me either until just a few weeks ago.  Now it seems like I can't stop hearing about them!  I can see why though, they're super cute and from the sounds of it, really durable.  A donut and studded cross combo may seem odd, but I think that's what makes this case so awesome.  Have a quirky friend?  Yeah, this is likely perfect for her.
  12. Kate Spade Saturday Card & Coin Wallet | $55:  What girl doesn't love Kate Spade?  None?  That's what I thought.  Kate Spade happens to have a fairly new site called Saturday that has plenty of her goods but for a much more affordable price.  It's still pricey.. I mean it's Kate Spade - but it's poppy, bold, unique, and I'm especially loving this metallic wallet.  It just screams 80's to me... which I find cool and I'm sure one of your friends will, too!
  13. Kate Spade Glitter Bug Wallet | $158:  Didn't get enough of Kate Spade?  I figured... well I gotchu!  So your friend isn't so into metallic, but maybe she loves glitter!?  Loving this new glitter bug line by Kate Spade.  Not a metallic OR glitter lover?  Well then maybe she'll love my personal favorite, the brightspot avenue lacey wallet.  That perfect purple is ..well, perfect.
  14. Cable Knit Pillow | $22.49:  The more pillows, the better!  That's what I always say anyway.  My fiancé may not agree with me, but he would agree that I'm a strong believer in having a lot of pillows.  I think it's just a girl thing!  Hints why this cozy, cable knit sweater pillow is on this gift guide list.  I think one of these would go really nicely with either Christmas decor or just to make your room/home feel a little more cozy during those colder months of the year after Christmas.
  15. Project Life Core Kit | $25.29:  Got a creative gal that you are shopping for this year?  A lover of treasured moments?  Ahh, well then Project Life is your answer!  I don't have my own Project Life book YET, but I find the whole concept of this scrapbooking technique so inspiring.  You can find all of Beck Higgins' (creator of Project Life) products over on Amazon.  Get your creative friend (or I feel like this would be a great mom gift) some supplies so she can get started!  :)
  16. Gift Card | $Any price you want: If all else fails... well, I shouldn't say that - I just mean, if you're still struggling to find the perfect gift, then buy her a gift card to her favorite store!  It may not be the most personal gift ever, but just knowing that you remembered her favorite store is personal enough!
I hope you gals & guys find this gift guide helpful while doing your Christmas shopping this year.  Whether you're shopping for your mom,  your sister, your friend, your girlfriend, maybe even your grandma, the most important thing to remember is that is really is the thought that counts... you don't need to go all out... just a simple gift that reminds you of that person and that's all it takes for them to feel special and appreciated!

P.S. Let me know if you want me to do a gift guide for him!  I know how hard it is to shop for the men in our life... so I'm more than happy to help not only myself, but each other out during the struggle this year.  Comment below and let me know what you think!  :)
