Last night I found myself awake at the wee hours of the morning. Why? Well, as usual, I couldn't seem to turn my thoughts off. Some nights I swear my pillow is a machine that makes my brain more active when I lay my head on it. But last night, I didn't mind so much because my thoughts were pretty exciting.
I don't know if you all have noticed, but I've been getting into this whole making videos and posting them on YouTube thing. I've been eager to jump into this for awhile now so I've just decided to go for it. I want to create a community where young women can go to get inspired, feel good about themselves, and maybe learn a trick or two. I plan on covering anything from photography, beauty, home, and just plan old life stuff. These are all things I love and I really enjoy talking about them and watching other videos in these categories... so that's why I've decided to cover them all instead of just one or two. Anyways, back to why I was up so late last night - I couldn't stop thinking about how I could really make a difference with my YouTube channel. Okay, maybe I'll show someone how I fill in my brows or add a sunset effect in an image - but I want to REALLY make a difference. So I got to thinking about the name of my blog, my YouTube channel, my Twitter handle, and my Instagram - xo Ali Bee. What does that mean to me? What does that mean to you? I look at it as how I would sign a letter that I've written to my closest friend. Basically that's what I'm doing here on my blog... I'm writing you letters. From my super personal life to basic things you can find online with a quick Google search. Then I started thinking about what it would have meant if I chose "Love, Ali" instead of "xo Ali Bee." Well, first off... "Love, Ali" only includes my first name which to me, feels more personal. "Love, Ali" also includes the word love - a word with such powerful meaning that is misused way too often. Then BAM, it hit me, a new web series titled Love, Ali.
So what exactly is Love, Ali going to be about? Basically, it's going to be me sitting in front of the camera chatting with you about super deep stuff. But I want the videos to always end and leave you with a positive note. My goal is for you to leave the video feeling good and like you're not alone in this big, beautiful, but sometimes cruel world. Us ladies are in this together, so let's wear our best accessory (that's our smiles, FYI) and take on the world and our dreams together!
So coming soon to a theater computer near you - Love, Ali - a web series dedicated to making you feel GOOD and giving you the confidence and inspiration to tackle your dreams in this great, big world! xo Ali Bee
