It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... ;)
So some may argue that the first snow in Ohio already happened a few weeks ago, but I disagree! Yes, we had some snowflakes fall from the sky and stick for a teeny tiny bit... but to me the first snow is a few hours of snow flurries at night and waking up to a white coat on the ground and tree branches the next morning! As much as I wish I lived somewhere warm and dread the drawn out cold months of January, February, and March... there's nothing like the first snow. I get the opportunity to see bazillions of snowflakes fall from the sky each year, but I always end up forgetting how beautiful it can be until I see it again for the first time that Fall/Winter season.
For all of you who live somewhere warmer or just didn't get a chance to really appreciate our first snow, I thought I'd share some iPhone snaps that I took Monday night and Tuesday afternoon. Some of you may be wondering - why iPhone and not DSLR? Well I've been hearing a lot of talk about camera phone's and how they effect photographers. Some photographers believe camera phones will replace DSLR one day, some find them threatening since they can give anyone the opportunity to become a photographer, and some find them helpful with their business and visual inspiration. So yeah, I wanted to give the good ol' camera phone a chance. Nothing will ever compare to my DSLR, but my handy dandy iPhone is definitely a tool that I find helpful with my business and photography! What do you think?
Anywayyysss, happy snow fall everyone! :) Oh yeah, who has their Christmas decorations up already? I'm thinking of writing some posts with holiday decor inspiration, as well as, DIY holiday crafts! Like that idea!?
we got snow the other day as well - but it didn't stick. I am seriously thinking of putting up my tree this weekend, too soon? ha
ReplyDeleteNo way! As long as it's after Halloween, it's never too soon ;) We're putting up our tree this weekend, as well!
