Truth or Dare

Why hello there!  Welcome to Bee Happy Wednesday.  I am SO glad that you are here.  Today we are going to talk about the game Truth or Dare and then we're going to play our own little game of it.  You read for this?  Here we go...

This past Saturday night my fiancé, my sister, her boyfriend, my mom, and I all sat by a campfire and played Truth or Dare.  I know what you're thinking... who does that anymore?  Perhaps you're asking yourself if you'd ever dream of playing Truth or Dare with your own mom.  Well, my family and I are just super close and we were sorta bored.  But that's besides the point.  What I noticed was how negative the truths can be.  I began remembering how the game is played out in movies and TV shows.  It's almost like we're getting revenge on the person for not picking dare, so we have to ask the juiciest and most horribly personal question ever in hopes that they'll regret not choosing Dare.

It all made me wonder, why not ask positive and uplifting questions?  Why do we ask questions about the past?  Why not ask questions about the future?  Why do we ask questions about things the other person isn't necessarily proud of?  Why not ask questions about moments their most proud of?  Some may argue because that would take the fun out of Truth or Dare, but I disagree.  Do you?

Now, I thought it might be fun to play our own game of Truth or Dare.  Of course we're doing away with the negativity and replacing it with positivity!  This is how it'll work... I'm going to ask you a truth AND give you a dare.

Here's your truth - what do you see your biggest accomplishment being in the next year?  And here's your dare - I dare you to do something this week that will help turn that dream accomplishment into a reality.  Maybe you want your biggest accomplishment to be having a successful blog.  Well then, I dare you to write your first blog post this week.  Maybe you want your biggest accomplishment to be starting your own Etsy shop.  Well then, I dare you to make your own Etsy account and get a feel for how it all works.  Oh, I also dare you to leave your truth answer in the comments below, don't forget to tell us what you're going to do for your dare AND feel free to leave a truth or dare for me!  ;)  I'm always up for a challenge!  xo Ali Bee

    1. Good for you, girl! I was that person, too! Our engagement is nearly 3 years long and although I was very excited to plan our big day, I just never got around to it until just recently. Best of luck on planning and congrats :) Thanks so much for sharing + tuning in... hope to see you again! XO
